역시 비우는게 피부에도 중요하나 봅니다. 저도 오늘은 피부가 많이 뒤집어져서 피지오겔 크림 하나 발랐는데 굉장히 촉촉하네요.
Emergency Prescription for Restoring the Barrier of Dehydrated and Oily Skin During Seasonal Changes
Hello Maypure members! Haha. The weather has been really unpredictable lately. It's chilly in the mornings and evenings, hot during the day, and very windy, so maybe that's why my skin has completely broken out. ㅠㅠ I have dehydrated oily skin, also known as "dehydrated oily skin." My sebum explodes in the summer, but as soon as autumn and winter arrive, the dryness deep inside my skin becomes so severe that I'm usually really picky about choosing skincare products. However, it seems I'm particularly sensitive to the changing seasons this year. Right after washing my face, it feels like it's going to tear apart from the tightness, and white flakes of dead skin are even appearing on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. Even when I apply makeup, the flaking is so severe that my base makeup cakes and slides off—it's a total mess! Haha. I'm sure there are others out there who have suddenly found their skin condition to be a mess just like mine.
So, over the past few days, I’ve spent a lot of time searching online and watching YouTube to create an emergency routine to save my skin. The first thing I changed was my cleanser. I boldly ditched the mildly alkaline foam cleanser that leaves a squeaky clean feeling and switched to a gel-type, mildly acidic cleanser that produces almost no lather. At first, I felt uneasy because it didn't seem to clean thoroughly, but after getting used to it for a few days, the tightness after washing my face definitely decreased. The second thing is a skincare diet. I used to apply so many steps—toner, two ampoules, lotion, and cream—but I heard that applying that many products can actually be harmful to a compromised skin barrier. So now, after washing my face, I press a hyaluronic acid toner into my skin with my hands while it is still slightly damp, and then I just apply a generous amount of a thick barrier cream packed with ceramides and finish up.
At first, I was worried that applying only one cream might make my skin too dry, but actually, it feels like my skin is breathing comfortably. The redness has subsided a lot, and the flaking has calmed down. Of course, I haven't returned to having perfectly smooth, peeled skin yet, but compared to a week ago, it’s a huge improvement! Haha. If anyone else is stressed about dryness and flaking during the changing seasons like I was, I recommend drastically reducing the number of products you use and focusing solely on a barrier cream. Oh, and don't forget to drink plenty of water! I'm consciously trying to drink 2 liters a day, and aside from having to go to the bathroom frequently, it actually seems to help give my skin an inner glow. I'll be back to leave another review once my skin condition improves even more. Everyone, please take good care of your skin health during this transitional season!
