피부는 한 번 좋아지면 계속 유지하는 게 중요한 것 같아요. 기본 케어부터 차근차근 하는 게 답인 듯합니다 👍
Cleansing thoroughly—it may seem like a small thing, but it is the most important basic!
Hello everyone! Haha. Today, I’m going to ramble on about my personal skincare routine—the first thing I check and use to get my skin back on track whenever it suddenly breaks out. Honestly, if you search for how to improve your skin, you hear it over and over again: washing your face properly after going out is a hundred or a thousand times more important than applying expensive nourishing creams, right? But honestly, when I get home exhausted from work, everything feels like a chore, so there were so many times I would just squeeze out a generous amount of cleansing foam, scrub my face hard, rinse it off, and call it a day. However, ever since my skin barrier completely collapsed once, causing redness and a lot of trouble, I’ve made sure to put a lot of effort into my cleansing routine, even when I’m tired.
The key to my cleansing routine is "completely relaxing my grip" and "getting the water temperature just right" haha. On days when I wear foundation or sunscreen, I always use cleansing oil as the first step. When I apply the oil to my face and roll it around, I completely relax my fingertips and roll it very gently, as if I were handling a newborn baby's skin. I rub thoroughly on areas with high sebum production, such as the sides of the nose and under the chin where there are whiteheads, but I never apply enough pressure to cause the skin to rub off.
Also, the key point is to rinse thoroughly with slightly lukewarm water for a long time after adding water to the oil to emulsify it until it turns white. I heard that water that is too hot strips the skin of moisture and makes it dry, while cold water causes oil and impurities inside the pores to harden, preventing them from being washed away properly. For the second cleanse, always use a mildly acidic foam cleanser. Use a foaming net to create a very dense and rich lather, then place a soft cushion of foam between your fingers and your skin and roll it around as if you are washing your face. When rinsing for the final step, avoid letting the shower stream hit your face hard; instead, gently scoop up water with your hands and rinse by splashing it over your face.
Just by gently changing my cleansing habits and switching to a mildly acidic formula, I definitely noticed a significant reduction in tightness after washing my face and a noticeable decrease in the frequency of small breakouts! How about everyone try washing their face thoroughly and gently tonight, even if it feels like a hassle? Haha.
