I think it's useless to use expensive foundation if your skin texture is bad.
Lately, I've really been realizing that if your skin texture is bad, there's a limit no matter how much you change your base products.
Even when I use a highly-rated foundation, it only looks good when I first apply it, and over time, it breaks down messily around the sides of my nose and cheeks.
I used to think it was because I wasn't good at applying makeup.
I tried switching things up because I wondered if the sponge was the problem, if I wasn't using primer, or if the foundation didn't suit me, but ultimately, it seems that if the skin texture itself isn't smooth, nothing goes on cleanly no matter what you apply.
I found that if there are subtle bumps on the cheeks, they are more visible under the lighting.
It looks fine from a distance, but up close, it definitely feels uneven.
I'm not sure if this is an acne scar, a pore, or just a skin texture issue.
Lately, I wonder if I should exfoliate, but I am cautious because I worry that doing it too often might make my skin sensitive.
I’ve heard that there are many treatments available at dermatology clinics for skin texture management, but when I actually look them up, there are so many names that it’s even more confusing.
For those of you who have improved your skin texture, did you feel the difference even with home care?
Or is dermatological treatment ultimately faster?
I want to have skin where makeup applies beautifully, but it's harder than I thought 😅
