Skin breaking out in a pimple party due to severe sleep deprivation and stress, currently undergoing tearful emergency treatment.
Oh my god, work has been piling up like crazy these past few days. I’ve been working overtime every day and leaving work in the early hours of the morning practically every day while clutching my laptop, and now my usually resilient skin has finally reached its breaking point and declared strike. ㅠㅠ Yesterday, I dragged my exhausted body to wash my face while looking in the mirror to remove my makeup, and I was absolutely horrified to see dozens of tiny, bumpy pimples clustered together on my forehead and between my eyebrows. Haha. Usually, it’s just one or two huge pimples on my chin due to PMS when my period is approaching, but this is the first time in my life I’ve experienced my entire forehead covered in goosebumps like this. I’m so flustered, and every time I look in the mirror, I get angry and feel like I’m going to die of depression. Haha.
I think the root cause is that severe sleep deprivation caused my skin's immunity to plummet, and the intense heat rising across my entire face completely broke down my sebum control system. They feel rough to the touch and itch like crazy, giving me an insane urge to squeeze every single one out with my fingernails. However, I'm afraid that touching them with dirty hands will definitely leave scars and turn into red inflammation, so I've gritted my teeth and held back, switching into my own emergency treatment mode. For now, when I go to work, I only apply sunscreen and skip all base makeup entirely. As soon as I get home, I lather up a mild, non-irritating gel cleanser and gently wash my face. I heard that cleansing oil can actually be harmful to small pimples, so I've banished it from the bathroom for the time being.
Right after washing my face, I apply a very thick layer of super-cold aloe soothing gel—kept in the back of the refrigerator—to my forehead and cheeks where the heat is intense, just like a sleeping mask. I’m focusing all my attention solely on drastically lowering my skin's surface temperature. After cooling it properly for about 20 minutes, the redness and heat definitely drop off instantly. Then, I gently wipe away any remaining sticky residue with a cotton pad soaked in toner, dab the Cica ointment prescribed by the doctor onto the bumps using a cotton swab, and try my best to go to bed as early as possible. It really seems like the old saying that "beauty sleeps" is an immutable law that applies first and foremost to skincare. I plan to stay indoors all weekend without stepping a single foot, dedicating myself solely to catching up on sleep and skin recovery. If anyone has their own secret tips for quickly calming down these tiny pimples that suddenly flared up overnight like this, please, please save me! I will be desperately waiting for your comments.
