Wound care methods to help sebum or acne heal cleanly without scarring after squeezing.
I think managing the wound after squeezing is much more important than the act of squeezing itself. If not properly cared for in time, it can easily lead to scarring or discoloration, so I always make sure to follow my own wound care routine after extraction.
First, immediately after removing sebum or acne, do not touch the wound with your hands to prevent secondary infection. For the first day or two while the wound is open, clean and disinfect the area, then apply a moist wound dressing (patch) to block external irritation and allow the discharge and wound to heal naturally.
Once the wound has closed to some extent, I focus on regeneration and scar care. After cleansing, as the final step of my skincare routine, I carefully apply a regenerating cream or an ointment containing Cica to the wound area to ensure no traces remain. Also, since the area can easily turn dark if exposed to UV rays while new skin is growing, I take extra care to apply sunscreen when going out.
