My melasma has gotten darker since I started spending more time outdoors... May I ask about the recommended number of Pico Toning sessions?
I have always been stressed about having a lot of melasma and blemishes. Recently, perhaps due to increased outdoor activities, my overall facial tone seems to have become duller, and the boundaries of my melasma appear more distinct. So, I have seriously decided to consider Pico Toning, but since it is my first time, I have many concerns and am having trouble making a decision. I learned that Pico Toning is a procedure that uses a picosecond laser to break down pigments, reducing melasma and blemishes while evening out skin tone. I also found out that the treatment usually takes around 5 to 10 minutes, which is shorter than I expected. Additionally, I saw many explanations stating that to see the full effects of Pico Toning, it needs to be repeated about 5 to 10 times at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks or 2 to 4 weeks.
However, I have become more cautious after reading that temporary redness, dryness, minor breakouts, and, rarely, the possibility of adverse pigmentation may occur after Pico Toning. My skin tends to be sensitive, and I am not the type to manage UV exposure perfectly. Given these circumstances, could you please provide a gentle consultation regarding whether it is safe to start Pico Toning, whether the laser intensity or intervals can be adjusted to suit my skin type, the recommended number of sessions for treating melasma, and the approximate cost range per session or as a package?
