I keep getting bothered by the fine hairs around my lips. Has anyone tried getting them removed?

As I enter my 50s, I am starting to notice things one by one that I didn't used to care about. Among them, the most bothersome thing these days is the fine hair growing around my lips. They aren't very thick, but since there are stray hairs visible above and on both sides of my lips, my makeup doesn't look neat and tidy. However, I am also worried about irritating my skin if I have to shave or pluck them every time.
