I'm bothered by the hair on my sideburns. Has anyone tried getting them removed?

Now that I’m in my 30s, I’m writing to ask for advice because the hair around my sideburns, which I didn't really pay attention to before, has been catching my eye lately. When I tie my hair up or tuck it behind my ears, the sideburns look thicker than I expected, so I want to trim them neatly. However, I’m worried that if I shave, the hair grows back quickly, and the shaved area feels rough. Since it’s on the side of my face, I’m also cautious about trimming it myself at home for fear of messing it up and ruining the shape.

I am thinking about getting laser hair removal at a dermatology clinic, and I am wondering if sideburns are a common area for facial hair removal. My hair isn't very thick, but it is mixed with fine hairs, so I would like to know if it is effective in this case as well.
