Honest review of the 5th session of Pico Toning, the dark spot eraser

📌 1. Visited Branch: "Maypure Hongdae Station Branch"

When I was young, my skin was clear even if I walked around in the sun without sunscreen, but as I got older, freckles and blemishes started creeping up around my cheekbones. Even when I tried to cover them up with makeup, I had to apply a thick layer of concealer, which caused my makeup to cake and look messy quickly. I just sighed every time I looked in the mirror. I even spent a lot of money on whitening cosmetics for home care, but I painfully realized that existing pigmentation cannot be resolved with cosmetics alone, so I finally decided to seek help from a dermatologist.

I happened to have an appointment, and since there was a branch near Hongdae Station—a place I frequent—I immediately booked an appointment at the Maypure Hongdae branch. I entered the consultation room with the intention of purchasing a multi-session package, as consistency is key in pigmentation treatment. The manager carefully examined my skin condition and offered hopeful words, explaining that since the pigmentation was not deeply spread, my complexion would brighten and my blemishes would fade significantly if I received Pico Toning treatments consistently. She mentioned that compared to conventional toning, the energy is stronger and it precisely destroys only the pigment, minimizing damage to the surrounding skin.

I lay on the bed with my eyes covered and began the Pico Toning treatment. It felt like rubber bands were gently bouncing my face with a crackling sound. Even though I tend to be impatient, it was just a stinging sensation rather than pain, so I was able to receive the treatment comfortably. I have currently completed my 5th Pico Toning session at the Hongdae Station branch, and starting from the 3rd session, I could clearly see that my skin tone had brightened by one shade overall whenever I washed my face and looked in the mirror in the morning.

My biggest concern was the cost of pigmentation treatment, but I am very satisfied because I was able to get it done at a more affordable price than I expected since I purchased a multi-session package at a promotional rate. I think getting Pico Toning consistently is much more cost-effective for skin improvement than buying multiple expensive cosmetic products haha. Of course, after the treatment, I make sure to apply sunscreen really thoroughly when going out, and I am also diligently taking care of my hydration by applying plenty of regenerating cream. I feel like I will have smooth, peeled skin once I finish all 5 remaining sessions, so I look forward to my weekly visits to the dermatologist ^^
