I've been wondering about the microbiome lately.

These days, whenever we talk about skincare, the microbiome always comes up, and I've become interested in it. They say that when the skin's surface balance is disrupted, the skin barrier weakens and becomes more sensitive, but I'm not sure if this actually has a noticeable effect. Since I frequently experience dryness and redness, I wonder if my skin is also struggling in this area.

I've been trying to be as gentle as possible with cleansing and exfoliating, as they say irritating cleansers can further disrupt the skin's balance, but I'm not sure if this is just a matter of lifestyle. I'm also curious if products containing prebiotics or postbiotics, or barrier-strengthening treatments at the hospital, actually help. Also, I heard that skin temperature rises easily in seasons with large temperature differences like winter, but I'm not sure if this is connected to the microbiome.
