이때는 최대한 손대지 않는 게 제일이라 알로에 젤보다는 판테놀이나 세라마이드 성분이 들어간 장벽 크림을 아주 얇게 발라주며 진정시키는 게 도움이 되더라구요
My skin condition these days;; Inquiry on emergency treatment for sensitive skin after exfoliation
Lately, I don't know if I've been over-exfoliating or if the product I'm using isn't working for me, but my skin has become incredibly sensitive. Even my usual mild moisturizer makes my skin feel hot and my whole face is red and won't go away. Even just touching my face with my hand while washing it irritates it, so I'm going to forgo all my basic skincare routine for the time being and focus solely on soothing it.
Right now, to minimize irritation as much as possible, I let my skin air dry or gently pat it in after washing without using a towel. I'm even cautious about applying packs, fearing they might irritate my skin. I've heard that cold saline packs are good for soothing the skin, so I'm considering trying them. I'm only washing my face with lukewarm water, but I'm worried that the recovery process is too slow.
If anyone has had a similar experience, I'm curious about how long this sensitivity typically lasts. Also, would applying a generous amount of aloe gel help? Or would it be better to just leave it on and wait for the skin to recover on its own? Any advice on what essential ingredients I should use during the recovery period would be incredibly helpful.
