Hello. I am writing this post because I have been really worried about my pores lately.
In the past, makeup could cover it up to some extent, but recently, the pores around my nose and cheeks seem to be getting wider. Even when I apply foundation, it feels like it settles into the pores or cakes, making my skin texture look even rougher. When I take photos, my pores stand out more under lighting, which makes me lose confidence.
I usually wash my face thoroughly and pay attention to moisturizing. I also exfoliate once or twice a week and have tried various cosmetics that are said to be good for pores, but I haven't noticed as much of a change as I expected. In fact, I feel like my skin is becoming sensitive because I've used so many different products, so I'm confused about what kind of skincare is right for me.
So recently, I have been looking into pore lasers and treatments available at dermatology clinics, but there are so many types. It seems there are various methods such as Fraxel, Potenza, PicoFraxel, and RF needle treatments, and I am curious to know which procedures have actually been effective. The cost is not insignificant, so I am hesitant to start rashly, and I am also worried about the pain and recovery period. I would like to know if I can see results after just one or two sessions, or if I need to receive treatments consistently over several sessions.
Has anyone else struggled with enlarged pores like I have but seen satisfactory results? If you have good experience with treatments, or if you have any cosmetics or routines that worked well through consistent at-home care, please share them. I am also curious if I need to manage blackheads and sebum, and if lifestyle and dietary habits have a significant impact.
I’ve heard that pores can’t disappear completely, but if I can make them even slightly less noticeable than they are now, I’d like to try managing them consistently. It would be a huge help if you could share your honest experiences, from methods that actually worked for you to those you regretted. Thank you.
