I am considering getting Rivicol injections because of the hollowness under my eyes. Is it safer than regular fillers?
As I entered my 30s, the furrows under my eyes became hollow and my dark circles worsened, making me look very tired. I considered getting under-eye fillers, but I hesitated because people around me warned that since the skin under the eyes is thin, the fillers might show through or sag over time. Recently, however, I learned about a procedure called Revicol, which involves injecting highly biocompatible collagen instead of artificial fillers. I am interested because it is said to replenish collagen deep within the skin, naturally filling in hollows and improving skin elasticity. It also seems to be more accessible.
I am wondering if it is true that Rivicol does not spread or clump when injected under the eyes. I am scared because I sometimes see reviews of collagen injections mentioning side effects where hard nodules form inside the skin. Is Rivicol safe and has a low risk of nodules? Also, I heard that it contains pig-derived collagen; I would like to know if there is any chance of an allergic reaction or immune rejection after the procedure.
