I have a small blemish on my cheek, so I’m planning to get a skin care consultation for the first time.

I am wondering what I should discuss first if I visit a dermatologist for the first time because of small blemishes or bumps that look like millet seeds around my cheeks. When I search online, I find various methods such as extraction, exfoliation, and soothing treatments, but it is difficult to distinguish which one is suitable for which condition. Even if it is not noticeably severe acne, would it be worth getting a consultation if I am concerned about my skin's fine, bumpy texture?

Especially during the change of seasons, the skin can easily become dry and sensitive, so I do not want to start with overly harsh care.

First, I would like to confirm whether what I see around my cheeks is actually milia or if it just looks rough due to other causes.

Would it be okay if I simply explained my current skin concerns during my first visit without deciding on a specific procedure in advance? I am also curious if you can assess whether extraction or sebum control is necessary based on my skin condition, and if a procedure is not required, if I can receive guidance on appropriate home care. Rather than seeking immediate, dramatic changes, I would prefer to manage my skin gradually using methods that are gentle on it.
