Are the fine vertical lines next to the corners of the mouth and the bumpy wrinkles on the chin also areas eligible for Botox consultation?
Lately, while looking closely in the mirror, I noticed that fine vertical lines have formed along the corners of my mouth. They become more pronounced when I talk a lot or purse my lips, and if I tense my chin, wrinkles form on my jawline that look bumpy like a walnut shell. Perhaps because the area around my mouth dries out quickly now that late autumn has arrived, the wrinkle texture seems even more noticeable even after applying lip balm. I used to think Botox was only applied to the forehead or around the eyes, but I heard that consultations are sometimes offered for the mouth or chin as well, so I became curious. Since it is my first time, I am also worried that my facial expressions might look unnatural.
1. For vertical fine lines around the mouth, which is the right consultation for: wrinkle Botox or skin Botox?
2. If I get Botox for the bumpy wrinkles on my chin, can it feel awkward when I speak or smile?
3. I'm wondering if the effects on the corners of the mouth tend to last shorter than on other areas.
4. How do you distinguish between wrinkles caused by dryness and wrinkles caused by muscle movement during a consultation?
The attached photo is a reference image included to show you a feeling similar to my concerns.

- 01CommentsSince wrinkles around the mouth are in an area that moves a lot when speaking or smiling, I imagine you are most concerned about whether your facial expressions will look natural after the procedure. The choice between Botox and fillers depends on the cause of the wrinkles, so I recommend consulting with a doctor to compare recovery times and lasting effects.440026.10.30
- 02CommentsI also wanted to know how to distinguish during a consultation whether the vertical fine lines around the mouth are caused by dryness or muscle movement. Since I am also bothered by vertical wrinkles, I would appreciate it if you could provide a response regarding whether the consultation focuses on wrinkle Botox or skin Botox.290026.11.01
