I recommend a Cica ointment cream to use when your skin is breaking out.
There is an ointment-type cream that I always reach for like an emergency remedy whenever my skin barrier is compromised and applying just anything causes stinging or breakouts. It contains a high concentration of Centella Asiatica extract, and unlike a typical moisturizing cream that spreads smoothly, it has a really thick, ointment-like texture. So, rather than applying it to my entire face, I leave a thick layer on red, inflamed areas or wounds after extractions before going to sleep. Then, the next morning, the redness has calmed down noticeably, and the scabs fall off much faster. It is a bit on the expensive side for the amount, so I usually use it sparingly, but during seasonal changes or when my skin condition is at its worst, there is no better lifesaver. I have already scraped the bottom of several tubes and am repurchasing them.
