[Doctor's Column] Acne Marks: Marks or Scars? A Treatment Guide from an Expert

Acne marks that bother you every time you look in the mirror. Have you ever felt upset when you thought your skin was clear but red or dark traces remained? Many people often confuse these acne marks with 'acne scars.' However, the two are distinctly different, and their treatment methods must also be different. Acne Marks vs. Scars: What's the Difference? ▲ Acne marks are 'pigmentation changes' that remain on the skin after acne disappears. It refers to... It mainly appears as red marks (post-inflammatory erythema) or brown/black pigmentation (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). Since it is a condition where only the color changes without damage to the skin surface, it naturally fades over time or can be improved relatively easily through treatment. ▲ Acne scars are a condition where the skin tissue itself is damaged by acne, resulting in a 'change in skin depth.' This refers to indented scars (icepick, boxcar, rolling scars) or raised scars (hypertrophic scars, keloids). Scars do not disappear naturally, and treatment is much more difficult and time-consuming than that of marks. Reasons why acne marks form Acne marks are The process of the skin recovering from inflammation It occurs in [location]. When inflammation develops, blood vessels expand and blood rushes to the skin, causing it to turn red, which is what becomes the red mark. Additionally, the skin produces a large amount of melanin pigment to protect damaged areas, and if this accumulates, it remains as brown or black marks. Proper extraction can help prevent marks and scars. ❙ Source: ClipArtKorea Does extracting acne leave marks? Proper extraction actually prevents marks and scars It can be helpful. Review of the PicoFraxel + Regeneration Treatment at Maypure Magok Branch for Butterfly Zone Pores and Acne Scar Concerns

I've been constantly worried about my skin pores and acne scars, so this time too, I went to Maypure Magok branch PicoFraxel + Regeneration Management I received this :) Especially I My biggest concern is the pores on the butterfly zone. I have received PicoFraxel before. As I continued to receive treatments consistently, people around me told me my skin looked better, and I could also see gradual improvement when comparing photos, so I decided to get the treatment again this time. Before the procedure, my pores were noticeable, especially around the butterfly zone, and I was also concerned about acne scars and my overall skin texture. This time, I mentioned my biggest concerns, and the technician paid special attention to the butterfly zone and pores during the treatment. Immediately after the procedure, my skin turned slightly red, as shown in the photo. I had received this treatment before, so I was somewhat expecting it, but the redness right afterward wasn't as severe as I thought. For me, the redness actually became more intense after a little while compared to immediately after the procedure. Since I took a photo, the difference was clearly visible when compared to right after. My skin did turn red, but since I had been informed about it beforehand, I wasn't too worried. Afterwards, I received regenerative care, and I liked the cooling sensation on my skin during the treatment. The heat sensation that had arisen after the procedure also felt much more comfortable, and I could see that the redness had subsided a bit after the treatment was finished. Even comparing the photos, my skin feels much calmer than before the regeneration treatment, so personally, I think it was a good decision to get the treatment as well. I liked that you thoroughly explained once again how to care for the area at home and what precautions to take after the procedure. After some time has passed since the procedure I also took a photo of my skin condition today. I have been taking photos of the same skin to compare it to immediately after the procedure, and it definitely looks much calmer than when it was first red. Since I am still in the recovery process, I will have to wait and see the final changes to my pores and acne scars, but I think it is good to have a record like this so I can compare how my skin is healing. Even when I received PicoFraxel previously, people around me I've heard a lot of people say my skin has improved. I also feel my skin is gradually improving when comparing photos, so I plan to continue receiving treatments regularly. Especially what I care about the most I am looking forward to seeing how much my butterfly zone pores, acne scars, and skin texture will improve with consistent care :)

Capri Laser Stamp Mode 3rd Session Review

📌 1. Visited Branch: "Maypure City Hall Branch" 2. Treatment Review: I have skin prone to milia, and since Maypure often holds Capri Laser events, I received my 3rd treatment last week. I really liked that there was almost no waiting time when I booked an appointment at the City Hall branch, and the director was always so kind and meticulous during the treatment. I especially appreciated that they focused the laser on the areas I was concerned about, and I was so touched that they even gave me a toning treatment as a complimentary service. I wasn't aware of this, but I was told that the Toning Mode, not the Stamp Mode, is what reduces sebaceous glands. So, I am planning to try the Toning Mode next time. It would be great if you could continue holding Capri Laser events often!

Maypure Clinic Magok Branch Capri Laser + InMode Review

📌 1. Visited Branch: "Maypure OO Branch" 2. Procedure Review: Please write an honest review along with before and after photos. After getting my 3rd Capri session, I received InMode FX focusing solely on my double chin! Capri is truly one of the treatments I am most satisfied with after receiving it. I'm not getting any cystic acne anymore, and the redness has faded a lot!! If you keep receiving treatments regularly, you can return to your original skin. With InMode, I was most concerned about my double chin, but I am satisfied because it seems like my jawline has been refined. I feel good because my jawline looks less blunt in photos these days than before. I liked that I could focus on the areas I wanted by getting InMode only on the double chin area. I saw immediate results right away, and my face looked the smallest after a week. I plan to get it regularly when I get a slump. If you have been concerned about a double chin or your facial contours, I think it would be worth trying at least once :) For now, I feel good, so I plan to continue taking care of it consistently!
