I am asking because I am scared of the side effects of filler in the sunken area under my eyes.

The dark circles under my eyes are a problem, but since the tear troughs are deeply sunken, I constantly get told that I look haggard and sick, even though I'm not tired.

No matter how bright a shade of concealer I apply, the physically sunken shadows cannot be covered, so it causes me immense stress every time I look in the mirror. People around me have told me that even adding just a subtle amount of volume under the eyes can drastically change my appearance, so I am seriously considering fillers.

However, since the skin under the eyes is the thinnest on the body, I am hesitant to get it done because I heard that it often clumps or shows a bluish Tyndall effect. I am wondering if common filler side effects, such as the area under the lower eyelid bulging unnaturally or becoming bumpy when smiling, actually occur frequently. I am looking for someone who can thoroughly explain whether it is safe if I receive only a very small amount from a skilled doctor, the duration of under-eye filler effects, and the precautions I must keep in mind.
