저도 턱 뻐근해서 맞았는데 확실히 아침에 일어날 때 턱관절 훨씬 편안해요.
I have a question about getting Botox because my jaw joint hurts.
Did everyone have a relaxing weekend? Lately, perhaps due to a bad habit of clenching my teeth unconsciously while sleeping at night, both sides of my jaw feel so stiff and sore when I wake up in the morning. On top of that, when I look straight into the mirror, my formerly slender jawline is gone, and my muscles have developed unevenly, making it look like my face shape has changed to a square jaw. The stress is off the charts, seriously!
At first, I was debating whether I should go to the dentist to get a custom mouthguard, but people around me strongly recommended getting Botox to reduce jaw muscle size, saying it is the most effective solution for severe teeth grinding or stiff jaw pain. I had always thought it was only used for cosmetic purposes to create a V-line, but hearing that it is widely used for therapeutic purposes like this, I decided to muster up the courage to give it a try for the first time.
But now that I actually think about getting sharp injections on my precious face multiple times, I suddenly get scared about what might happen if I experience side effects. I heard that if Botox is injected incorrectly around the jaw area, it can cause deep sunken cheeks, making you look like a skeleton or a comb-pattern pottery. Will the directors at Maypure carefully examine my face shape and design before administering the injections? ㅠㅠ For an adult woman, is the usual dosage around 50 units, or do I need more to see results?
Also, aside from avoiding hard or chewy foods like squid on the day of the procedure, I’m curious if there are any other special precautions I absolutely must follow for a few days after getting Botox. I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that I shouldn't go to hot places like saunas, steam rooms, or do intense workouts at the gym. I would be really grateful if someone could let me know exactly how many days I need to be careful and rest.
