Are there any side effects from laser acne treatment for adult skin problems?

Red, hard, pustular breakouts keep popping up around my jawline and mouth, and I’m tired of even putting on patches. They fester deep inside, so they don’t pop, and they always leave scars even after subsiding, so home care alone isn’t working.

I am looking into an acne treatment that claims to completely destroy the sebaceous glands and dry up the seeds, but I am a little scared because it involves applying heat to the face. I am wondering if there are any common side effects associated with acne treatments, such as hidden sebum exploding all at once after the laser treatment, causing the skin to break out more hideously for a few days, or severe dryness.

I am worried that drying out my sebaceous glands might damage my normal skin barrier, so I am waiting for hopeful advice from those who have safely received acne treatments and achieved smooth skin.
