I'm skeptical today because my makeup isn't coming off. Is it really possible to achieve this just by changing one product?

The weather today is truly exceptionally clear. There is no fine dust and the breeze is cool, so I went out feeling great, but my eyes are actually glued to the mirror. Actually, I did my makeup this morning following my usual routine. But wow, my skin absorbed the foundation so smoothly, like a peeled egg, that I feel a bit unfamiliar with myself every time I look in the mirror. It’s almost time to get off work now, but it’s not just amazing, it’s a bit bewildering, that my facial contours are so firm and free of any darkening. Usually, around this time, I get tired, my pores open, and my skin feels really saggy. But today, my cheeks look strangely plump, and I’m seriously wondering if it’s because of the firming product I started using last week. Honestly, I’m too cynical to believe that changing just one cosmetic product can make such a difference in skin density in just a week. I find myself coldly weighing whether I was just in good condition today, or if that essence really lives up to its price. It’s definitely different when it feels like my skin is plumping up and firming from deep within, rather than just a shiny shine caused by excess oil. I keep looking in the mirror because it feels too wasteful to remove my makeup right now. Has anyone else experienced a change in their makeup longevity or skin texture after using a firming skincare line? I can't tell if this is just a temporary placebo effect or if it’s a real sign that I should stick with this product. I’m curious which ingredients people who do firming care usually feel are the most effective, or if you have your own criteria for checking when your skin condition suddenly improves, like I do. I really need verification to see if it’s just the product itself or if it’s my imagination.
