I had recurring skin troubles, so changing the pillowcase has been great.

Recurring breakouts on my chin and cheeks has been a long-standing concern of mine. I tried washing my face thoroughly and cutting down on spicy foods, but it didn't show any significant improvement. Then, I wondered if my pillow might be the problem, so I switched my pillow cover from cotton to silk.

 

There was a difference more than I expected. When I woke up, there were fewer marks on my cheeks, and my skin felt less tight. I heard that cotton tends to absorb moisture, so it can easily dry out while you sleep; I wonder if that might have been connected to the breakouts.

 

The frequency of my skin troubles has definitely decreased since I changed my pillowcase. I used to think I had to do something extraordinary to improve my skin, but this is a case where I found the unexpected cause in my daily habits. I recommend giving this a try to anyone with similar concerns.
