Things I've learned recently while studying skin
My skin keeps breaking out repeatedly, so I’m worried something might be wrong and have been looking up various things lately.
What I learned today is that the timing of moisturizing after cleansing is much more important than I thought. I always took it for granted that you should apply toner only after completely drying your face, but I learned for the first time today that you need to apply it immediately while your skin is still slightly damp for it to absorb properly. I realize I've been doing it the other way around all this time!
I also learned something new: the recurring breakouts might not be due to not washing my face properly, but rather because my skin is producing excess sebum due to a lack of moisture. I wonder if neglecting moisturization just because I have oily skin actually made the breakouts worse.
Starting today, I’m going to change my moisturizing order after cleansing and add layering with a hydrating toner. I feel a bit better now that I think I’ve found the right direction. I’ll keep at it and share again if I see any changes!
