These are things I learned while studying skincare, and I’ve compiled them because I think they might be helpful to those who, like me, experience recurring skin troubles.

1. Pillowcase replacement cycle

I noticed that surprisingly many people use their pillow covers for a long time. Sebum and dead skin cells accumulate on the pillow while you sleep, and if this constantly comes into contact with your skin, it can cause breakouts. It is recommended to replace it at least once a week.

2. Timing of Water Intake

While drinking plenty of water throughout the day is important, it is said that having a glass immediately after waking up in the morning is especially helpful for maintaining skin hydration. Since moisture evaporates while you sleep, the key is to replenish it as soon as you wake up.

3. Wiping the smartphone screen

They say that surprisingly many germs stick to the smartphone screen that touches your cheek during calls. This could be the cause, especially for those who frequently get breakouts on only one cheek. I've heard that wiping it just once a day makes a difference.

4. Towel care after washing face

The towel you use to dry your face after washing is also one of the causes of skin problems. It is recommended to keep a separate towel dedicated to your face and replace it every two days. I heard that bacteria multiply quickly on towels that still have moisture on them.

It was fascinating to see how seemingly trivial daily habits can have a significant impact on the skin when accumulated. I'm currently working on changing them one by one!
