It has been a week since I changed my moisturizing routine. For the first two days, I wasn't sure if something was changing or not, but after a week, I noticed that the frequency of breakouts has definitely decreased.
The biggest change is that I get less sebum during the day. In the past, my skin would get shiny just past lunchtime, so I used to habitually use oil blotting papers, but lately, I do that less frequently. It seems it's true that the skin tries to compensate with sebum when it lacks moisture.
I also added toner layering, and the tightness in my skin when I wake up in the morning has noticeably decreased. I kept worrying about whether I needed to buy expensive products, but I realized that using what I was already using properly was the priority. For now, I plan to stick to this routine for a month. It feels like I've found the right direction, so skincare has become fun lately.
