I love the warm spring breeze, but my skin is always in a state of emergency due to the extreme dryness that inevitably arrives around this time of year.
With the large temperature fluctuations between morning and evening and the worsening fine dust levels, my skin barrier has compromised, so even the cosmetics I usually use feel stinging when they touch my face.
In times like this, my personal tip is to drastically reduce the number of skincare steps you apply and focus solely on moisturizing and strengthening the skin barrier for a few days.
After washing your face, instead of wiping it off with a cotton pad, apply a slightly viscous, gel-like toner in two layers to firmly address inner dryness.
Put your usual vitamin ampoules or whitening products in the drawer for a moment, and apply a thick layer of just one barrier cream rich in ceramide.
For the corners of my mouth or around my nose, where the dryness is particularly severe and the skin cracks and turns white, I apply a very thin coating using a cotton swab soaked in Vaseline, which is usually just lying around the house.
If you sleep with this thin film covering your face, it perfectly prevents moisture from evaporating into the air, so your skin won't feel tight and will be very comfortable until the next morning.
Also, I drink more than twice as much plain water as usual, and even at the office, I keep a mini humidifier pointed toward my face to continuously increase the surrounding humidity.
When your skin becomes sensitive and red, I think it is best to create an environment where the skin can recover strongly on its own, rather than trying to apply various products excessively.
