One day, I looked in the mirror and was shocked to see a deep horizontal wrinkle prominently displayed on my neck, even though my face was relatively firm. I realized the truth of the saying that no matter how well you take care of your face, neck wrinkles make you look much older, so from then on, I started taking meticulous care of my neck as well. The easiest method I practice every night is to apply my basic skincare products to my neck and collarbone line, treating them as if they were my face. In particular, after applying a moisturizing cream or anti-aging essence, I massage the residue left on my palms by gently sweeping upwards from the bottom of my neck. Since rubbing too hard can irritate the thin skin of the neck, it is important to sweep very gently, focusing on absorption using only the warmth of my palms. Also, once a week, after using a sheet mask on my face, I wrap the sheet, which is still soaked with essence, around my neck for about 10 minutes to replenish moisture. I also heard that sleep habits are important, so I switched to a very low cervical pillow that prevents wrinkles from forming on my neck; I found it to be great because it reduced stiffness in the mornings. I am consciously practicing lifting my head to eye level every day to break the habit of unconsciously bowing my head low when looking at my smartphone. Since neck wrinkles are said to be difficult to get rid of even with procedures, I encourage Maypure members to make it a habit to apply your basic skincare products to your neck as well before it is too late.
