Please help me decide between InMode and Shurink for a double chin lift!
Hello~ I've always just been lurking and getting information, but this is my first time posting on the Maypure community. Haha. The reason I'm writing is that lately I've been so stressed about my face shape every time I look in the mirror in the morning, so I'm thinking about getting a cosmetic procedure. Since there are so many types and reviews about side effects, I really wanted to ask for some genuine advice from members with a lot of experience. ㅠㅠ
Since entering my late 20s, I've definitely noticed my cheeks losing volume and my face sagging overall. Especially the double chin! As fat accumulates in the crease where I lower my head, my once sharp jawline has become blunt, and I feel like my facial contours are really falling apart. In the past, when I took photos, my face looked fairly sharp and slender—even if not quite a V-line—without needing Photoshop. But these days, I'm afraid to take pictures with the default camera app, and my self-esteem is plummeting.
I tried to make do with home care somehow, so I bought a famous gua sha tool and diligently massaged my lymphatics while watching YouTube videos, and I also bought a lifting band and wore it every night while sleeping, but honestly, I only felt a slight reduction in swelling, and I didn't notice any dramatic lifting effect at all.
So I’ve been looking into lifting lasers more seriously, and after checking communities and reviews, it seems like InMode and Shurink are the most popular choices. However, since everyone has different face shapes, the advice is all over the place, so I’m really struggling to decide which one to choose. Some people say that for areas with a lot of fat like my double chin and sagging under the jaw, you absolutely must use the InMode FX mode to destroy unnecessary fat cells for the most immediate results. On the other hand, others recommend Shurink Universe to tighten and lift the deeper layers of the skin if the sagging is due to a loss of elasticity from aging rather than weight gain.
I don't have much fat on the upper part of my face, but the skin under my chin and in the deep cheek area (next to my mouth) is particularly saggy, making me look like a bulldog. I'm scared that if I get InMode done incorrectly, I might develop sunken cheeks under my cheekbones and end up looking like a skeleton, so I'm hesitant to make a decision right away.
If anyone has had both procedures done, or if you have had the treatment for lower eyelid sagging concerns similar to mine, could you please share your honest reviews? I'm really curious if the pain is bearable after applying anesthetic cream, and how many days the downtime, such as bruising or swelling, lasts. Since I work, I'm also worried that if I get the procedures back-to-back after work on Friday, it might be too obvious that I won't be wearing a mask when I go to work on Monday.
I have scheduled a consultation with the director of Maypure for next week, but I am leaving this question because I think it would be good to know some information in advance so I can have a smart consultation! I am eagerly awaiting your valuable and honest comments~!! Thank you so much in advance ^^
