Where is the best place to get an accurate skin type measurement?

Hello, I am a male office worker.

I thought I had oily skin, so I’ve only ever used cleansers that strip away oil, but lately I’ve noticed that it looks shiny on the surface while being extremely dry underneath.

I need to know my proper skin type to buy the right cosmetics. Where do you usually get yours measured?

I feel a bit intimidated and embarrassed going to department store counters... and I don't really trust self-diagnosing on my own. I've heard people use apps these days, but I'm not sure if the accuracy is good. I'm posting this question because I want to understand my skin properly before I start managing it. I'm curious how everyone else identifies their skin type.
