Drinking a lot of water doesn't make your skin moisturized.

I was forcing myself to drink a lot of water to keep my skin hydrated, but apparently that isn't the case.

If your body is already sufficiently hydrated, drinking more water won't make your skin moist!

When the body is dehydrated, blood volume decreases, and blood is not supplied smoothly to various parts of the body, including the skin. Consequently, the lipid layer, which acts as the skin's protective barrier, is not properly maintained, causing moisture to escape from the skin. In such cases, replenishing fluids by drinking water improves skin condition.
