I went to ask who is recommended for acne scar treatment and if it is suitable for sensitive skin.
My skin tends to be sensitive, so even though I was recommended for acne scar treatment, I was really worried about whether I would actually be able to get it done haha.
I do have pitted scars on my cheeks, but I'm the type of person whose skin turns red and feels hot with even the slightest irritation, so I was scared that getting acne scar treatment might just make my skin even more sensitive.
The very first thing I asked about during the consultation was the intensity of the stimulation and the recovery period. After listening to the explanation, I was told that just because I have sensitive skin doesn't mean it's completely unsuitable, but the intensity needs to be adjusted based on the condition of my skin barrier and whether I currently have any inflammation.
So, while it is important to consider whether I am a suitable candidate for acne scar treatment, I felt that it is even more important to consider whether my skin is in a condition to handle the procedure!!!! Since deep scars require a consistent approach, I think it is better to take it slow rather than rushing into a strong treatment all at once.
If you have sensitive skin like me and are considering acne scar treatment, I highly recommend asking detailed questions about irritation, recovery, and aftercare...!
