Does anyone know how to resist the urge to squeeze the sebum on my nose? My hand just goes out of my way.
Nose sebum really drives people crazy.
You know how when you look closely in the mirror after washing your face, you can see white bumps on your nose?
When I see that, my head tells me, "I shouldn't squeeze it," but my hand is already pressing down on my nose.
It is especially dangerous if your pores look slightly open after you come out of the shower.
At that time, I feel like the sebum will come out better, so I end up bringing a cotton swab and pressing it for no reason.
The problem is that it feels satisfying at the moment of squeezing, but the next day my nose is red or my pores look more prominent.
I used to use nose strips quite often, and while I felt a sense of satisfaction watching the dirt come out, I don't think it was very good for my skin.
After using it, my nose felt smooth, but after a few days, it would come back. As I repeated this process, I felt like the area around my nose had become sensitive.
These days, I deliberately avoid looking in the magnifying mirror so I don't touch it.
If I zoom in, I inevitably end up touching it, so I am compromising by just looking at it from a distance.
But that’s easier said than done. If I see sebum next to my nose while applying makeup, it bothers me again.
I'm wondering if getting sebum extraction or an aqua peel at a dermatology clinic might help, but I'm also curious if I need to keep getting those treatments.
If anyone has successfully managed nose sebum, please share your real method.
I am curious about everything from how to avoid touching it to practical management methods.
