I couldn't sleep well yesterday, so I'm a mess.
Perhaps because I had a restless night's sleep last night, my skin condition looked noticeably worse today. I kept waking up intermittently and felt like I hadn't slept deeply, so my body felt heavy and tired from the moment I woke up; it seems like it really shows on the skin right away. As soon as I looked in the mirror, my overall skin tone looked dull and lifeless, which made me look even more exhausted. In particular, the area under my eyes was darker than usual, and there was a slight redness on my face, so it felt like my poor condition was clearly visible.
I have naturally dry skin, but today I felt particularly severe tightness deep inside. After washing my face, my skin felt parched immediately, and it seemed like my usual skincare products weren't absorbing well. My makeup also felt cakey, which was stressful for no reason while getting ready in the morning. My skin texture looked rough rather than smooth, and even small blemishes stood out more, making me realize the importance of sleep once again.
Still, to minimize irritation to my skin today, I kept my skincare routine simple and applied plenty of moisturizing products. I also tried to drink water more frequently than usual and am giving my body a rest by drinking warm tea instead of coffee. It definitely seems that getting enough sleep is more important for the skin than using high-quality cosmetics. I plan to go to bed early and get a good rest tonight. I hope my skin condition returns to normal, even just a little, by tomorrow.
