For my personal skincare routine, try 'this' instead of the 7-skin method to tackle inner dryness haha
When skin is dry like it is these days, haven't you all experienced that feeling where your skin dries out again after a while, no matter how many layers you apply? ㅠㅠ I tried the famous 7-skin method and doing a face mask every day, but I realized that a "skincare diet" is actually the answer. So, I’d like to share my own secret moisturizing routine that I’ve recently settled on. Haha. The hint is the "meeting of a hydrating essence and plant-based oil."
In the past, I used to avoid oils at all costs because I thought they would clog my pores and cause breakouts. However, my opinion completely changed after trying plant-based squalane oil, which is known for its high skin compatibility. Right after washing my face, while it is still slightly damp, I dispense a coin-sized amount of a watery, hydrating, soothing essence onto my palm. Then, I add just one drop of squalane oil! (The key is exactly one drop, not a lot, haha.) I drop it on and mix it by rubbing it together with the warmth of my palms.
In that state, gently cup your entire face and press firmly to help with absorption. When you do this, the hydrating essence mixes with the oil, creating an absolutely amazing oil-water balance. The principle is that moisture penetrates deep, while a single drop of oil creates a light coating film to prevent that moisture from evaporating. If you establish a solid foundation in this first step, you can simply apply a regular moisturizing cream afterwards, and you won't feel that cracking tightness deep inside your face until the next morning. If you find it bothersome to layer up various products, seriously, just try this method once! You will experience a whole new world where inner dryness is completely resolved.
