My skin seems to be breaking out particularly badly today.
The moment I woke up this morning, washed my face, and looked in the mirror, I immediately had a feeling my skin wasn't going to be good today. You know those days when your face looks dull, the texture feels rougher than usual, and just everything just looks off overall? Today was exactly one of those days.
I ate quite a bit of spicy food last night. I heard that eating spicy food affects your skin the next day, and I think it's true. I used to think it was just my imagination, but this time I definitely felt the difference.
Today, I kept my skincare routine as light as possible, using only non-irritating products. I applied a generous amount of moisturizer and finished with sunscreen, and I did feel a slight improvement in the afternoon.
On days when my skin condition is bad, I feel like doing more for it, but I've found that the more I do that, the better it is to just leave it alone. I'm planning to go to bed early, hoping it will be a bit better by tomorrow morning.
