My Own Skincare Method - Stick to the Basics!
In the past, I used to be very interested in trendy, expensive cosmetics or flashy treatments, but lately I’ve been realizing more and more that the 'basics' are ultimately the most important thing. I’d like to share a few of my own skincare routines that stick to the basics and brought my skin back to life when it was falling apart!
The first is, of course, 'thorough and gentle cleansing'. You all know the saying that removing makeup is more important than applying it, right? To minimize skin friction, I wash my face gently with a mild, slightly acidic cleanser, and when drying my face with a towel, I just pat it lightly. Just doing this has significantly reduced the stinging sensation after washing my face.
The second is 'sufficient hydration and humidity control'. While creams applied to the outside are important, I realized that the power of a glass of water replenishing from within is truly significant. I try to drink at least 1.5 liters a day, and I always keep a small humidifier on my desk while working. This habit has been a great help, especially when my skin feels very dry from the inside.
The last one is 'going to bed early'. I found that getting a good night's sleep around 11 PM made a noticeable difference in my skin texture the next morning, rather than using expensive ampoules. It seems that simply adhering to the skin's regeneration schedule significantly slows down the rate at which redness or breakouts appear.
It’s not a grand secret, but by consistently following these basics every day, I feel like my skin’s resilience has improved significantly compared to before.
