A massive breakout of tiny pimples due to the worst sleep deprivation ㅠㅠ I'm documenting my skin condition today.
Hello Maypure members ㅠㅠ How is everyone feeling today? I've been staying up until dawn for several days now, so I seriously almost screamed when I looked in the mirror this morning haha. My forehead and chin were covered in tiny, bumpy pimples. I've always prided myself on having skin that rarely breaks out, but I guess there's no escaping the power of lack of sleep ㅠㅠ My skin tone looked yellowish all over, so I've been hearing all day that I look sick haha.
Now that I think about it, I don't think the reason my skin broke out was simply because I couldn't sleep. I stayed up all night ordering spicy and salty food for late-night snacks, and because I was tired, I just slapped a foam cleanser on my face once before going to sleep. On top of that, worried it might dry out my skin, I slathered on a thick, oily nourishing cream that didn't even suit me, and I think my pores got completely clogged up, resulting in a breakout of tiny bumps. I'm really paying the price for ignoring the basics of skincare and being lazy.
So today, as soon as I got home from work, I started by thoroughly cleansing again with a repentant heart. I used cleansing oil—something I usually find too much of a hassle to use—to gently roll and dissolve the blackheads and clogged sebum, and then I finished off perfectly with a second cleanse using a mild foam cleanser. Haha. And since I think cooling down my skin's heat is the priority right now, I am writing this with a very thick layer of chilled aloe gel applied all over my face like a sleeping mask. ㅠㅠ I am holding onto a small hope that doing this might help these angry bumps subside a little by tomorrow. Haha.
Today, I'm definitely skipping my usual skincare routine. I plan to just let this aloe gel absorb, apply a very thin layer of moisturizer, and go to bed early. Skin really is honest; it seems to show results immediately depending on how I treat it. I really hope the redness has subsided a bit by tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any killer skincare routines or soothing products that worked instantly for sudden breakouts of tiny bumps? I'm debating whether I should go to a dermatologist to get them extracted, but for now, I'm thinking of trying to tough it out with home care. Please let me know in the comments if you have any good tips. Thank you in advance!!
