I tend to have a particularly severe sensation of heat in my upper body, so I suffer a lot during the summer due to the heat rising in my face. I’ve heard that when skin temperature rises, not only does it cause immediate flushing, but it also increases sebum production, leading to acne.
So, while it is important for all skin types, those with redness-prone or acne-prone skin like mine need to put a lot of effort into lowering skin temperature during the summer. The method I use is applying an aloe vera pack every evening, and I also buy and use a cooling device from Daiso.
Also, whenever I feel flushed in the office, I take a light walk to cool down. I suffered from acne last summer, so this year I want to manage my skin temperature well and maintain clear skin!
