Yesterday, something really infuriating happened at work, so on my way home, I ordered the spiciest tteokbokki and devoured it all by myself like a storm. At that moment, sweat poured down like rain, and it felt like all my stress was instantly released, which was really great.
However, when I looked in the mirror this morning, I couldn't help but sigh.
I noticed there were two red, pus-filled pimples around my mouth and on my chin.
As expected, eating spicy and salty food is not only bad for the stomach, but it seems to have an immediate reaction on the skin as well.
On top of that, I fell asleep right after eating, so facial swelling was an added bonus. I have an important meeting today, so I tried my best to cover up the acne with concealer, but it makes me depressed to think I have to go to work with a huge pimple that simply cannot be hidden.
If the mouth is happy, the skin suffers, and if the mind is focused on the skin, the mouth feels bored...
I think finding this kind of balance is the hardest thing in the world. For the time being, I think I'll have to soothe my stomach by drinking some cabbage juice. Ah, I'm really upset.
