Should I use cleansing foam to wash my face in the morning as well?
How does everyone wash their face in the morning? Lately, I've been debating every morning whether I should use cleansing foam or just wash with water.
Since the bedding gets dusty and oil or sweat builds up, washing with just water feels a bit uncomfortable haha. Especially if I slather on nourishing cream or a sleeping pack the night before, you know those residues sitting on the surface the next morning...?
However, I was also worried that using a facial cleanser every time might damage my skin and make it feel tight. So, after doing some research, I found that adjusting the cleanser to suit your skin type is the right answer. I've found that on days when I have oily skin or excessive sebum production, gently washing only the T-zone with a mildly acidic cleanser definitely helps prevent breakouts.
Conversely, on very dry days, I think it is a good idea to just rinse lightly with water or use a very mild cleanser specifically for mornings. I have been doing this flexibly lately depending on my skin condition, but is there a right answer to this?
