I’d like to share my skincare routine for the changing seasons and the sudden heat of summer.
Even as recently as early May
The weather was hot during the day but rather cool in the evening.
Now that it is mid-May, early summer weather has suddenly arrived, and hot and irritating weather for the skin continues.
In my 30s, even the slightest neglect of skincare leads to breakouts and irritation, causing redness, and I find that dead skin cells and dryness linger for a long time, even outside of winter.
The weather is hot, but I couldn't fix the inner dryness of my skin, so my makeup looked cakey, and no matter what product I applied, it felt like it was just sitting on the surface.
I've tried various good products because of this concern, but
It was difficult to achieve a significant effect.
I believe the answer to maintaining naturally irritation-free skin is not just addressing dryness, but restoring the skin to a non-irritating state before replenishing moisture, hydrating, and using gentle skincare.
The more your skin is not calming down, the more you should minimize exfoliation and oil-rich products, and start with a gentle cleanse.
I lightly wipe my face with cleansing water, and then wash my face with Dove soap.
After washing my face, instead of using a face mask, I wipe my skin with toner (I use a mask 2-3 times a week) and apply only one of the two: lotion or cream.
My approach is to let my skin adapt to a few specific products and reduce irritation, rather than using an excessive variety of products.
