Things I've truly realized after taking care of my skin for a long time...
It's been quite a while since I started taking care of my skin, and what I've learned now is a bit different from what I initially thought haha. I tried everything that was supposed to be good at the time, but in the end, what really stuck were the basics.
The biggest realization I had is that cleansing is practically everything. No matter how good the products you apply are, they are useless if you don't cleanse properly. I never skim over my evening cleanse, especially since it shows up immediately on my skin the next day.
Next is sunscreen. I realized this more clearly while going to the dermatologist; if you don't apply sunscreen, your skincare routine can become sloppy. Even though it's a hassle, I make sure to apply this every day.
I tend to adjust the rest flexibly depending on my skin condition. I now realize that doing a lot isn't necessarily good; it's more important to understand what your skin needs on that particular day. I feel that just sticking to these two things makes a big difference to my skin.
