Investing in Inner Beauty Rather Than Cosmetics
I suffered for months from endless whiteheads and pustular acne around my chin and mouth, no matter how much expensive department store cosmetics I used or how many extractions I received at a dermatologist's office. Just when I felt like I was pouring water into a bottomless pit, it suddenly occurred to me that I needed to fix my inner self rather than my exterior. From then on, I reflected on my eating habits and started an inner beauty challenge for exactly 30 days.
There are exactly three things I thoroughly practiced for a month.
1. Cutting out high-fructose corn syrup (sugars): I completely stopped drinking the vanilla lattes and sodas I used to drink every day and replaced them with sword bean tea or plain water. I could feel firsthand that sugar causes inflammation in the body.
2. Taking probiotics and glutathione: Believing that gut health is directly linked to skin, I made sure to take probiotics on an empty stomach in the morning.
3. Reducing flour intake: I limited my consumption of delivery food and bread from 3 to 4 times a week to once a week or less.
The results were amazing. Even though I only used the very ordinary moisturizer I normally use, surprisingly, the number of new breakouts decreased noticeably starting from the second week. Now, a month later, the bumpy texture that used to be there has disappeared, and I hear comments that my complexion has become clearer. Never forget that your skin is a mirror that reflects not only what you apply to your skin but also exactly what you eat.
