In weather with large daily temperature fluctuations and a mix of dryness and heat, my skin condition is easily volatile, so I have been keeping my personal skincare routine a bit simpler. The first thing I pay attention to is the cleansing step. Rather than over-cleansing and irritating the skin barrier, I wash gently with lukewarm water. After cleansing, I apply a hydrating product immediately before the water dries to lock in moisture before the skin feels tight. I try to keep my skincare routine as simple as possible. After simply prepping my skin texture with a toner, I finish with a light hydrating ampoule and a moisturizing cream, aiming to allow my skin to breathe without excessive layering. On days when my skin is sensitive, I take a break from functional products and focus solely on soothing care. Managing the external environment is also important; indoors, I use a humidifier or place a cup of water to reduce dryness, and when going out, I apply sunscreen thoroughly to minimize skin irritation caused by UV rays. Of course, I cannot stick to this every time, but I am trying to do it consistently.
