I started laser hair removal in advance of summer. I'm going on schedule.
📌 1. Visited Branch: "Maypure Gimpo Janggi Branch"
Since I naturally have a lot of body hair, shaving or waxing has become an annual ritual whenever summer approaches. However, shaving so frequently irritated my skin, causing redness and breakouts due to ingrown hairs—too many times. Waxing is incredibly painful when pulling the hairs off, and the ongoing costs are substantial. So, I concluded that it would be better to take the long-term view and get laser hair removal, as it would be better for both my skin and my wallet. I heard that hair removal isn't a one-time process and that you usually need to start several months in advance of summer, so I diligently visited a clinic.
During the consultation, I received a detailed explanation of the principles behind laser hair removal. Since it destroys hair follicles in the growth phase, the hair doesn't disappear all at once; instead, I was told that consistent treatments aligned with the hair growth cycle are necessary for best results. They mentioned that typically, you need at least five sessions at one-month intervals to see the hair thin and noticeably reduce its density, so I decided to sign up for a package to put my mind at ease and visit diligently according to the schedule. I had the treatment done on my underarms and calves. Perhaps because they used equipment that emits cold air, I only experienced a slight stinging sensation, and it was more bearable than I expected.
I’ve been getting laser hair removal for about three sessions now, following the scheduled routine, and I can already feel the hair growth rate has slowed down noticeably. In the past, I used to get stressed because the hair would grow back prickly like pencil lead just a few days after shaving, but now, even when it does grow back, it is so thin and fine that it doesn't bother me much at all. Haha. I understand now why everyone spends money on laser hair removal, and I even regret not doing it sooner. I plan to attend the remaining sessions strictly according to the schedule given by the clinic so that I don't fall out. I’m already excited because I think I’ll be able to confidently wear short sleeves and shorts this coming summer. If you are stressed about your body hair like me, I hope you don't put it off and start as soon as possible.
