How are medications and recent skin care history checked during a laser consultation?

I would like to know how much information I should provide regarding medications I am currently taking or cosmetics I have recently used when preparing for a laser consultation. Rather than asking about a diagnosis for specific symptoms or the effectiveness of the procedure, I would like to know the information necessary to determine whether to proceed safely during the initial consultation.

Would it be advisable to keep a record of the product names and expiration dates for over-the-counter medications, nutritional supplements, and topical ointments, in addition to prescription drugs? I would also like guidance on the proper procedure for consultations if I need to consult with the prescribing medical staff before discontinuing the medication on my own.

If you have recently received exfoliation or other skin treatments, I would like to know what information is required other than the dates and areas. I would also like to confirm if it is possible to postpone the procedure on the same day or have a consultation first, depending on sun exposure or skin irritation.

Finally, are there any criteria for contacting me again before an appointment if I start taking new medication or if my skin condition changes after the consultation? Explaining the necessary preparations and verification procedures would help me plan the initial consultation.
