Namyangju Skin Boosters~! A comprehensive guide by type—if we divide them into three main categories?
Hello. This is Maypure Clinic Pyeongnae Hopyeong Branch.
There are so many types of skin boosters; which one should I get?
I was looking up reviews, but the names just kept piling up, making it even more confusing.
Actually, "skin booster" is not the name of a single procedure, but a term used to refer to a group of ingredients bundled together.
Since different ingredients perform different functions within the skin, you need to look at what the ingredients do first rather than the product name to find the answer.
So today, I plan to divide Namyangju skin boosters into three categories and explain, one by one, which concerns each category addresses and in which cases you need to adjust your expectations.
For those who have tried products that were supposed to be good but were disappointed with the results, I hope this post helps you establish a standard.
1. Namyangju Skin Boosters are broadly divided into three categories.
No matter how many names there seem to be, if you divide them by their functions, they are broadly divided into three categories.
It is a branch that replenishes moisture deep within the skin, a branch that helps repair damaged skin, and a branch that stimulates the production of new collagen.
To put it simply, it is similar to caring for potted plants. You water the dry soil, restore damaged roots, and fertilize the soil that has lost its vitality.
Just as giving too much fertilizer to a potted plant that needs watering won't yield the answer, the path you take depends on what your skin is currently lacking.
Just knowing which of the three categories your concern falls into is enough to take half the work.
2. Moisture Branch tackles inner dryness first.
The first type is a hydration-replenishing approach centered on hyaluronic acid (HA).
We first review this for those with internal dryness who experience tightness immediately after washing their face, makeup flaking by the afternoon, and fine lines appearing particularly prominent.
Dry skin makes the same wrinkles look deeper. So, I expect that simply replenishing moisture will make the skin texture look more refined.
At our hospital, we view Liviheal Shining and Rejuran HB as belonging to this category.
Libby Heal Shining focuses on filling the skin with both moisture and radiance based on hyaluronic acid.
Rejuran HB is a formulation that combines hyaluronic acid with PN, a regenerative ingredient, so I tend to choose it when I want both hydration and recovery.
So, for those who have dry hair but want to tidy up the texture as well, the HB type is often a good fit.
However, I would like to add that the moisture treatment is not a procedure that lifts sagging elasticity.
3. The recovery branch cares for sensitive skin.
The second is the polynucleotide (PN) series.
It is made of DNA fragments derived from salmon, and it plays a significant role in creating an environment where damaged skin can heal itself.
We recommend this for skin that easily turns red from irritation, retains acne scars and blemishes for a long time, or has unusually slow recovery after treatment.
At our hospital, Rejuran and Vitaran fall into this category.
Rejuran is the most widely known product in the PN series and approaches the recovery of skin texture and thinned skin.
Vitalando is also in the PN family, so the texture is similar, but the formulation is slightly different, so I tend to use them separately depending on my skin condition and pain sensitivity.
The recovery path falls into the category of a procedure where changes are felt gradually, with less redness and less sensitivity to irritation, rather than dramatic, noticeable changes.
4. Collagen strands restore elasticity and texture.
The third type is the one that stimulates the production of new collagen, commonly referred to as collagen boosters.
We recommend this for those whose pores have stretched vertically, whose cheeks have sunken, and whose skin itself has started to look thin and lifeless.
Let me clarify one thing here. These branches are often grouped together and called PLA, but in reality, their compositions are all different.
Juvelook uses PLLA (polylactic acid) microparticles to stimulate fibroblasts in the dermis, inducing collagen production. As a result, it focuses on pores.
Since Radiesse contains CaHA (calcium hydroxyapatite), you can expect collagen stimulation, as well as micro-volume and a certain degree of support.
Gowoori is a PCL (polycaprolactone) liquid type that is applied thinly across the entire face. You can expect an overall result of radiance and a tightening effect.
Since the ingredients differ, the duration of effect, the areas that are most suitable, and the texture of the results vary slightly. If you lump them all together as "the same collagen injection" based solely on the name, you will end up making the wrong choice.
Since all three methods involve a slow replenishment of collagen, it is more accurate to view them as procedures where improvements are seen gradually over several weeks rather than on the day of the treatment.
(Radiesse also provides an immediate volume effect due to its CMC gel ingredients.)
5. Namyangju Skin Booster, it cannot solve everything at once
To be honest, it is actually rare for skin to fall into just one distinct type.
There are far more people who have all three characteristics overlapping: dry, sensitive, and lacking elasticity.
However, trying to cram everything in at once isn't the answer. It is more realistic to prioritize what you are currently lacking and divide the timeline accordingly.
If you expect to see a dramatic difference in the mirror as soon as you receive it, you need to adjust your expectations.
Skin boosters create an environment where the skin can heal itself, so rather than seeing changes overnight, it works by improving slowly over several sessions.
Please be advised in advance that there are individual differences in effectiveness and duration, and that skin boosters alone have limitations for addressing significant existing sagging.
6. Namyangju Skin Booster: My skin is the standard, not fame.
The most common misconception is, "If I go with the most famous one, I'll at least be average."
Even if an ingredient was good for someone else, you might be disappointed with the results if it doesn't address what your skin is lacking.
Conversely, lesser-known ingredients sometimes suit my condition better.
It is safer to adjust the frequency and intervals based on skin reaction rather than following a fixed answer.
Ultimately, what matters is not the name of the procedure, but whether the plan is tailored to what my skin is currently lacking and whether the place accurately identifies those issues.
You don't need to memorize all the names. If you just remember these criteria, you'll significantly reduce the chances of regretting it after receiving it. Haha.
