My skin has been so dry and dull lately, so I finally mustered up the courage to go to a dermatologist a week ago and get the Rejuran skin booster treatment! Since it's a treatment that's really popular these days, I went with half anticipation and half worry.
Pain level: Even though I had anesthetic cream applied for about 30 minutes, it honestly did sting a little when the needle went in. Tears welled up slightly, but I held them back for the sake of becoming beautiful. (I chose a manual injection because I heard it is more thorough than a machine injection!)
Downtime (Embossing, Bruising): Immediately after the procedure, my entire face had severe embossing, looking bumpy like mosquito bites. There was also slight bruising here and there. Fortunately, the embossing magically subsided after about two days, and it was at a level that could be covered with makeup.
Current effects after one week: The texture of my skin feels completely different to the touch when I wash my face! It feels like a subtle glow is rising from deep within my skin. My makeup applies so smoothly and feels so firm, so I am extremely satisfied. If I can tolerate the pain, I would love to get this regularly.
