This is a review of the effects of getting Juvelook injections on my butterfly zone pores.
My pores in the butterfly zone next to my nose are usually so severely enlarged that slathering on primer every time I get ready to go out has become a daily routine for me. ㅠㅠ It looks fine right after applying makeup, but by the afternoon, sebum starts secreting and foundation gets stuck right in my pores. It looked so messy every time I saw that in the bathroom mirror while touching up, and it was incredibly stressful. I've tried scrubs and even gotten regular sebum extraction treatments, but once pores are enlarged, they don't seem to shrink back at all with just basic skincare products. lol
I was determined to get a strong laser treatment like Fraxel at a dermatology clinic, but the downtime was too long, and since I have sensitive skin that gets red for a long time, I was afraid it might actually cause a breakout, so I gave up. Then I learned about skin boosters that stimulate the skin to regenerate collagen on its own to tighten sunken pores, so I booked an appointment at Maypure and visited! During the consultation, the director looked at my butterfly zone, which resembled an orange peel, and said that it would be effective if I did it consistently, so I proceeded right away without hesitation.
I received the Juvérec injection this time. They administered it meticulously, needle by needle, without general anesthesia, simply by applying a generous amount of numbing cream. Wow, but the pain when the needle went in... it felt like being pricked into raw flesh, and tears just streamed down my face before I knew it. The doctor said, "It’s going to sting a little," but I screamed a hundred times inside my head. Still, driven by my single-minded determination to have beautiful skin, I gritted my teeth and endured it. Immediately after the injection, my face had embossed marks and bumps that looked like mosquito bites, so I came home with my mask pulled down low. Fortunately, the embossing subsided completely within a day or two, and while I did get a slight bruise, it was manageable enough to be covered with BB cream.
It's been about 3 weeks since the procedure, and it's truly amazing. When I wash my face and touch my cheeks, I can feel with my fingertips that the bumps have significantly decreased and my skin texture has become as smooth as a peeled egg! When I do my makeup, I can skip the primer because my foundation applies perfectly, and clogging my pores is definitely less noticeable. People around me keep asking what I did because my skin looks so clear. Since it's only my first session, my pores haven't completely vanished like an eraser, but with this level of texture improvement, I think it's 200% worth enduring the pain and getting all 3 sessions! I'm just looking forward to my second Juvelook session next month. I highly recommend this to anyone worried about pores, fine lines, or rough skin texture!
