My makeup looks so good these days, people have been asking what I did lol

I recently got a procedure done at a dermatology clinic, and I was surprised that people around me noticed it before I did. To be honest, I didn't go expecting a huge change. Lately, my skin has been dry and looked a bit rough, so I was self-conscious about my makeup looking cakey whenever I applied it. In particular, the areas around my nose and cheeks weren't smooth, so it felt like the flaws were more noticeable when I applied foundation.
So this time, I received a consultation regarding my skin texture and overall condition. During the consultation, I discussed what cosmetics I usually use and whether my skin tends to be sensitive, and I also mentioned the areas I was most concerned about. If I had gone based solely on online reviews, I probably would have wanted to try everything, but after receiving the consultation in person, I realized that it is actually better not to do too much right now.
Immediately after the procedure, my face was slightly red and felt warm, so I was extra careful when washing it as soon as I got home. Just in case, I didn't make any plans for that day and just got plenty of rest. My skin felt more sensitive than usual until the next day, but it got better over time.
And when I applied makeup a few days later, I definitely felt like it didn't cake as much as before. Rather than having an intense shine, I guess you could say the skin surface felt a bit more refined? So, it was fine even when I applied a thinner layer of base than usual. That was what I liked the most.
A friend told me my skin has improved lately, so I felt a sense of pride for no reason lol. Of course, it’s not like the procedure alone solved everything, and I’ve been paying attention to hydration lately as well, so I’m not exactly sure what the cause is.
